2024 Ford F250 Review: What We Know So Far

The 2024 Ford F250 looks set to be tested with some high-cuts seen on the road with LED headlights and a truck interior design that is expected to get even better in the 2024 generation. The ongoing shot shows a Super Duty XL or XLT with plain halogen headlights and an integrated bed.

Ford to dress up the undercut Super Duty with high-end LEDs and chrome grille after all they are meant to be work trucks but the contrast is stark. Sometimes it takes a while to get used to the style of a new model and I guess everyone will get used to this bug-eye look in time.

The current generation Super Duty has a chiseled front fascia while the 2023 model is more rounded and we expect an upgrade on the upcoming 2024 Ford F250 model.

The built-in bed in the 2024 Ford F250 is a plus as the pickup keeps getting taller while the average person doesn’t. General Motors introduced a similar feature with contemporary Chevy and GMC HD models, and it should be a welcome addition to the Ford Super Duty.

There’s not much to dig at the back, except for a sticker on the rear window that identifies this as the model year 2024. The taillights look similar to the existing Super Duty, and the dual-tipped exhaust likely indicates this mule has a Power Stroke diesel under the hood.

We’ll have a lot to talk about once the truck’s powertrain specs go public, though there are likely to be no changes in terms of engine shifts or the Blue Oval 10-speed automatic transmission. Expect the optional 6.7-liter Power Stroke to deliver over 1,050 pound-feet of torque at the moment, all in the name of beating the Chevy and Ram. It’s hard to say how much the towing capacity will go up, but Ford will definitely want to beat the current F-450 which stands at 37,000 pounds.

2024 Ford F250 Redesign

It looks like the 2024 Ford F250 will get an update similar to the F-150 either an updated model is coming which will offer significant updates both inside and out which the excellent TFLNow Crew has described.

The heavy camouflage look that closes below with a rectangular grille has a design similar to that on the F-150 Platinum suggesting a higher trim model. The driving lights visible on the lower bumper further support that theory.

It’s unclear whether the S-shaped trim around the headlights is a product feature or more for camouflage. Previous spy shots had kept the lens well covered, but taking a closer look, we didn’t see an S-shape under the cover.

However, it’s easy to see that the overall square shape of the headlights once again mirrors what we saw on the F-150. The less glamorous black steel wheels are barely visible at the front, indicating this truck’s mission is heavy-duty road testing.

The 2024 Ford F250 is expected to be the latest model with familiar engine options that may be coupled with a new hybrid configuration.

The truck currently offers a choice of a 6.2-liter or 7.3-liter V8 petrol or a 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbo diesel engine that produces 475 horsepower (354 kilowatts) and 1,050 pound-feet (1,424 Newton-meters) of torque.
