The Next Incredible 2023 Ford F350 Super Duty Review

Posted on

2023 Ford F350 has been spotted by Ford Authority spies in several configurations over the past few months, giving us a preview of what to expect from the updated model on debut.

As the Ford Authority reported last month, the 2023 Ford Super Duty order bank is scheduled to open on October 17, 2022, with production following a few months later.

Now, Ford CEO Jim Farley himself has revealed a rough timeline of when we can expect to see Super Duty 2023 in person.

“And also, this fall, we will introduce the all-new, hardworking Super Duty pickups at Ford, and this sets the standard in our industry. There’s a lot more to come,” Farley said while speaking at the automaker’s Q2 earnings call.

Recently, Ford Authority spies have seen the 2023 Ford Super Duty F-450 in double, the rugged, off-road-focused Tremor for the first time, and the regular cabin model of the F-350 XL, giving us a broad view. various configurations are available.

Although all have worn quite a lot of camo, we can clearly see that the updated pickup will feature a new front-end design with revised C-clamp and grille headlights, an integrated bed step, and restorative taillights at the rear.

The interior of the 2023 Super Duty has also been seen on several occasions, starting with a peek at the xl’s plain cabin and a video of the assembly line showing off maintenance inspired by the Ford F-150.

Recently, the Ford Authority spy gave us the first look at the single binnacle design of the truck, which is a major deviation from the layout of the existing model’s double binnacle.

As for powertrains, the 2023 Super Duty won’t get a hybrid option, as Ford Authority reported recently.

2023 Ford F350 Report

Ford is putting the finishing touches on the new Super Duty truck, which is scheduled to debut this fall. It won’t be a completely new product and will share a lot of components and technology with the outgoing truck, including some of its powertrains.

2023 Ford F350

However, it appears that a new factory will be added to the lineup, according to recent reports.

Ford Authority reports the new Super Duty could receive a new 6.8-liter V8 engine, which will be naturally aspirated. The heavy truck is currently offered a 7.3-liter Godzilla V8 engine, a 6.2-liter Boss V8 engine, and a 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 diesel.

The Boss Factory is the oldest of the three and can be retired for the new Super Duty.

If this assumption is correct, we expect the new 6.8-liter V8 engine to replace the Boss engine in the truck lineup. We don’t know the power and torque figures of the new engine, but it would make sense if it were a little more powerful than the powertrain it replaced.

Or, to put it into perspective, expect about 400 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. Again, these figures have not been confirmed.

The new hardware under the hood will come with a fresher exterior look for the new Super Duty. This spy photo from earlier this summer shows a front fascia inspired by the new F-150 with modified C-shaped headlights surrounding different grilles depending on trim levels.

The radiator grille itself and the Ford logo will probably increase in size compared to the previous model.

We also hope to see major revisions in the cabin. Although nothing can be confirmed yet, the interior can receive a new infotainment system with a tablet-style look on the center console. Another convenience upgrade is likely to be on the card as well.

The full and official debut of the new Super Duty may be coming in just a few weeks. The order book will open on October 7 and production will begin soon.

2023 Ford F-350 XL Regular Cab Dually

Ford Authority spies have seen a number of refreshed 2023 Ford Super Duty prototypes driving around over the past few months, including, most recently, the double F-450 King Ranch and the tough, off-road-focused Tremor for the first time.

Now, as we get closer to the official reveal, the same spies have found another version of the upcoming fresh pickup – this time, the regular cabin of the 2023 Ford F-350 XL in dual.

This regular dual-cabin model of the 2023 Ford F-350 XL gives us a good view of the entry-level hardworking in the Super Duty range, which has a much shorter wheelbase than most retail customer variants.

As such, it features a more basic all-black front grille design, as well as a much simpler headlight design than the existing units on some of the higher trim prototypes that were spied on earlier.

The same is true as we move sideways, as this prototype wears a more basic wheel design than the king ranch spied on before.

It’s unclear if this particular prototype comes with one big new feature, which was originally reported by the Ford Authority in June and confirmed roughly one week later – an integrated bed step.

At the rear, the prototype features the same updated taillight design we’ve seen on previously spied-on prototypes, although the tailgate is covered with a thick camo, hiding potential changes there.

As for the updated 2023 Super Duty interior, it has been spied on several times, starting with a peek at the plain XL cabin and an assembly line video showing off the maintenance of the Ford F-150 inspired.

Recently, the Ford Authority spy gave us the first look at the single binnacle design of the truck, which is a major deviation from the layout of the existing model’s double binnacle.

As for powertrains, 2023 Super Duty won’t get a hybrid option, as Ford Authority reported roughly one week ago, while the order bank for the new pickup is currently scheduled to open in October.

2023 Ford F350 6.8-Liter V-8

The upcoming 2023 Ford Super Duty pickup could get the option of a naturally aspirated 6.8-liter petrol engine, according to a report from the Ford Authority.

2023 Ford F350

Ford Authority, citing unnamed sources, claims the new powerplant will replace the aging 6.2-liter engine found on current Super Duty models. The publication estimates it will be placed under the 7.3-liter V-8 “Godzilla” and the 6.7-liter Powerstroke turbodiesel.

Power figures for the new 6.8-liter are still unclear, though the Ford Authority estimates it will have more than 6.2 that comes out 385 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque but less than Godzilla’s 430 hp and 475 lb-ft.

We’ve reached out to Ford to confirm if the report is true, but given that the new Super Duty hasn’t been revealed yet, it doesn’t look like any official information will be released early.

2023 Ford F350 Release Date

The 2023 Ford Super Duty is expected to be shown on September 14 during the Detroit Auto Show.

Previous Part

2023 Ford F350 be it the F-250, F-350, or F-450 – is more trucks than most people need. But for those who need it, it’s very impressive. There’s a trio of V-8 engines, highlighted by the 7.3-liter engine with 473 pound-feet of torque and the 6.7-liter diesel with 1050 pound-feet.

A well-equipped Super Duty can tow up to 37,000 pounds and carry up to 7,850 pounds of payload. While the heavyweight rivals of the Ram offer higher torque and crane ratings, as well as a nicer interior, Ford’s most luxurious crew cabin models provide an upscale environment and enormous passenger space.

2023 ford super dutyThe Chevy Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD both have better driving manners, but the 2023 Super Duty touts more high-tech features and a wide range of driver assists.

For 2023, the Super Duty lineup receives newly available infotainment features, fresh exterior and interior color options, and a new look package. A 12.0-inch touchscreen with Ford Sync 4 software and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is now available for heavy-duty pickups.

With the addition of the Lariat Sport display package, the model adds a grille, bumper, and color-matched exterior mirrors, as well as a black running board and chrome exhaust tip. The paint palette now includes Atlas Blue. Interior colors for the Lariat trim now include Steel; Limited added Navy Pier and Light Slate.

The f2023 Ford F350 Diesel engine has 1050 pound-feet of torque, many desirable technology features, and a spacious crew cabin interior.
Careless driving behavior at highway speeds, the most luxurious cabins are still not as luxurious as the Ram, raised models are more difficult to get in and out of.
The Ford Super Duty lineup offers impressive features and even more impressive capabilities.

2023 Ford F350 Review: 2023 Ford Superduty

The Blue Oval big Super Duty truck is now available with Sync 4, a 12.0-inch infotainment screen, and a new display pack.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. This applies to Ford’s 2023 F Series Super Duty, a sturdy hauler that doesn’t need repair at all. Since Super Duty received most of its major upgrades for the 2020 model year, the truck will be mostly carry-around for 2023, which isn’t a bad thing.

The Next Incredible 2023 Ford F350 Preview

However, it will be infused with some (more) cool tech upgrades. If anyone thinks new three-quarters and a tonne truck aren’t perfect, then you are wrong. These trucks have technology as advanced as any car on the road and are constantly being upgraded with more and more technological goodness.

The Super Duty F-Series – comprising the F-250, F-350, and F-450 – pack many best-in-class crane numbers, hauling, and performance, which remain a highlight for this new pickup. However, the Ford 2023 Ford F350 isn’t going to see an increase of any kind – or at least as we know it.

Ford is well-known for continuing to increase its numbers, so we’ll see what 2023 produces over time. The 2023 truck will be powered by a choice of petrol and diesel engines: the 7.3-liter V-8 petrol produces 430 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque and the 6.7-liter turbodiesel “Power Stroke” V-8 produces 475 hp. and an incredible 1,050 lb-ft of torque.

The 6.2-liter V-8 petrol remains an option too. The max towing and hauling amounts are currently enormous: 37,000 lb gooseneck, 32,500 lb. fifth wheel, 24,200 lb. conventional, and 7,850 lb. for payloads. Super Duty is an absolute beast.

The 2023 Ford F350 Ford F-Series pickup will be available with a new 12.0-inch horizontally oriented touchscreen that was first seen on the 2023 F-150.

Ford didn’t give the Super Duty truck any significant visual changes like the new F-150, only new color options, and a new look package. The F-250 2023, F-350, and F-450 go on sale this summer.

Ford is upping its screen game to compete with Ram’s vertically oriented touchscreen. The Ford F-150 2023 gets a bit of an overhaul with a new 12.0-inch horizontally-oriented screen available (same size as the Ram), and now the Super Duty model, which is getting no other changes than color and display package, will arrive for the Model year 2023 with a larger screen is also available. The F-150 2023 is on sale right now, and the 2023 Ford F350 truck is arriving this summer.

To get the new 12.0-inch touch screen, you will need to choose the Lariat model or higher. They use the Ford Sync 4 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay wireless and Android Auto capabilities.

However, the Super Duty truck doesn’t get the 12.0-inch digital gauge cluster available from the F-150. The F-Series Super Duty XL models come standard with a 4.2-inch screen while the XLT gets the previous year’s 8.0-inch screen with Sync 3. The Chevy and GMC heavy-duty trucks only have screens up to 8.0 inches.

2023 Ford Super Duty Redesign

Ford has been selling the fourth-generation Super Duty from 2017 to date. The automaker is refreshing the truck for the 2020 model year. Ford has historically introduced a new Super Duty generation every five or six years. Therefore, the 2023 anniversary design will be timely.

Spy shots show a 2023 Ford Super Duty truck with a redesigned front fascia and grille. It also appears that the rear bumper and taillights will be all-new. Since Ford still covers its test truck in camouflage, we’re not sure exactly what the new Super Duty truck will look like.

Ford is unlikely to make dramatic changes to the Super Duty metal doors and sheeting. That said, Ford also camouflaged the sides of all of its test trucks.

Driving Canada points out that the Ford F 350 XL test truck seen in the wild still has incandescent bulbs. But Ford may offer an LED upgrade.

The interior of the New Ford Super Duty is reminiscent of the latest generation F 150. The new steering wheel looks like the latest F 150 wheels. It retains the column-mounted shifter and at least the base model has analog gauges framing the digital driver display.

2023 F350 Changes

After several refreshes carried out for the 2020 model year and the addition of new interior and exterior color options, technological feature enhancements, and a new and revised appearance package for the 2022 model year. We strongly believe the All-New Ford F350 Changes Super Duty will receive a redesign. more comprehensive by 2023.

The Camo hides a new front end, possible trim changes, and the never-ending trend of pickup trucks is rapidly continuing in Detroit, with spy photographers spotting a camouflaged Ford Super Duty wearing some odd trim details.

Most obvious to our amber eyes are what appear to be modified headlights, peeps that seem to retain the shape of the current lens if they don’t work. The bottom of the stacked lamp was illuminated as either a daytime running light or a low beam on this test mule, different from this arrangement.

This isn’t the first time Ford has become obsessed with the Super Duty eye; for 2020 they are streamlining the signature of LED lighting to eliminate the odd dot-matrix pattern that existed when this generation was introduced.

And is that Raptor-style yellow light all over the top of this test truck’s grille? It’s hard to say thanks to the white wrap but an addition like that would fit the Tremor’s off-road pack onto a tee.

Talking about the package and trim, the pickup appears to be sporting an odd mix of top-run Platinum jewelry with black alloy wheels, which is usually reserved for the aforementioned Tremor. Of course, it’s easy to swap tire packs for testing purposes, but the Tremor-equipped Platinum would be an attractive proposition.

After all, there were more than a few wealthy patrons who were certainly the type to enjoy a massage chair while climbing the desert dunes. If so, this would be in response to GMC announcing their rugged off-road AT4X truck would be available with this type of feature.

In hindsight, we find details that are largely similar to those of today’s trucks, with no changes in the location of the trailer’s wiring harness and spare sensors showing up in the usual places. The taillights appear to have multiple clear LEDs stacked vertically rather than the existing lenses, perhaps indicating lighting that is unique to certain trims.

After all, replacing a lighting sign without having to change the physical shape and dimensions of the lamp itself is a relatively inexpensive way to refresh any vehicle without the expense of major repairs.

A rear or four-wheel drive is available, such as a six or 10-speed automatic transmission. The Super Duty truck can pull up to 24,200 pounds but hit 37,000 pounds with a fifth-wheel hitch and gooseneck.

The 2023 Ford F350 Ford F-Series truck goes on sale this summer. Ford declined to comment on when it will receive a refresher with the new Onboard Pro Power generator available in the 2023 F-150.

2023 Ford F350 Design

Slight changes in appearance can really add charm to the style and overall look of a truck. The Lariat Sport Appearance package for the Ford F-Series 2023 The Ford F350 includes several body paint parts (front and rear bumpers, mirrors, and grille), chrome exhaust tips, and a black running board.

A black mirror package, available in the fall of 2023, covers the XLT model. This package combines several body-colored elements (front and rear bumpers and grille bars) with bold black and contrasting elements (20-inch wheels, a running board, and front, and rear blue oval badges). You read that right – even the blue oval is black.

2023 Ford F350 Interior

Fashion and function live in harmony within Super Duty, with a sharp dashboard design and practical layout. Even the abstract super-duty interiors are an ergonomic environment with direct controls and materials designed to get tangled up.

The Next Incredible 2023 Ford F350 Preview

The process simply begins with a Lariat-level finish that features leather upholstery seats and luxury options like ambient lighting, heated and cooled front seats, and wireless charging.

2023 Ford F350 Platinum

2023 Ford F350 Platinum Get ready to experience Premium, Platinum, and Limited King to unlock features that other competitors have (like massage chairs) and feel like royalty. Still, some shiny items make even the coolest modern interiors.

Buyers have the option of choosing between two-bed sizes (6.75 feet or an 8-foot box), but a standard compartment can only be fitted with a long box. Super Duty’s multi-purpose cubes and trays are accentuated by the large center console tray in models with bucket seats.

The crew compartment takes a step forward storage with a lockable box under the back seat.

2023 Ford F350 Color

There are also a number of the new interior and exterior colors for the Ford F350 F-2023. New interior colors include Baja (Lariat), Pier Pier (Limited), and Light Slate (Limited). The new choice of exterior color is called Atlas Blue. If it’s like the Atlas Blue Ford Explorer 2020, we’re ready to take the prize.

2023 Ford F350 Tech

The Ford 2023 Ford F350 will be available with Ford’s cloud-connected Sync 4 infotainment system and a landscape-oriented 12.0-inch color touchscreen (sorry, not 15.5-inch). This changes everything … on the inside at least.

For those who prefer a nice touch of traditional knobs or buttons, there will still be actual physical controls underneath the large screen for quick access to many frequently used functions. Super Duty currently features Sync 3 and an 8.0-inch screen.

The Sync 4 has twice the computing power of the Sync 3, and among its many advantages, it can connect wirelessly to smartphones (goodbye charging cables, which are somehow always misplaced) for easy integration of the Apple CarPlay app, Android Auto, and Sync AppLink.

Sync 4 will not be offered on all Super Duty trims, although it will be standard on Lariat models and above, with Sync 3 becoming standard on XLT and offered on XL. Will receive Sync 4, including 2023 Ford F-150, 2023 Ford Mustang Mach. -E, and 2023 Ford Bronco.

The Base XL models come standard with a non-touchscreen for their infotainment system. The XLT features an 8.0-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Wi-Fi hotspot. It can also be upgraded with a 10-speaker B&O stereo and SiriusXM satellite radio, which requires a paid subscription after the first three months.

A pair of large volume and tuning buttons, as well as other physical buttons on the steering wheel, make the system feel intuitive. The rest of the lineup features a 12.0-inch touchscreen with Sync 4 software that includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Larger cabs can be equipped with enough accessory outlets to light up a Guns N ‘Roses concert, including up to two 110 volt power points.

2023 Ford F350 Exterior

With a variety of cabin and trunk configurations, Super Duty has a wide range of maximum towing and cargo capabilities.

Each version offers generous ratings in both categories, but Ford fans who want the most impressive numbers will appreciate that the most powerful Super Duty can carry a 7850-pound payload, tow up to 24,200 pounds on a conventional towed hitchhiker, and carry 37,000 pounds. With a fifth wheel and a gooseneck plug.

2023 Ford F350 MPG

Because the EPA does not test heavy vehicles like the Super Duty and its main competitors, we can only judge them based on our tests.

Now that Ford has revamped the propulsion options of its heavy-duty pickup trucks, we’ll have to wait until we get a new car that will appreciate their real-world MPG in our fuel-efficient ways.

The 6.2-liter six-speed petrol-powered V-8 engine remains the standard-setting in the F-250, and the last one we tested delivered 15 MPa on the highway. By comparison, the gas-powered Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD produced 14 MPa in the same test.

We expect the optional Super Duty Stroke Power diesel to be the most economical engine in the lineup.

2023 Ford F350 Engine

The F-250 and F-350 come standard with 6.2-liter V-8 petrol that delivers 385 horsepower and a 430-pound torque. The six-speed automatic transmission is the basic gearbox, but most Super D duties have a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The Next Incredible 2023 Ford F350 Preview

All paddle trains are combined with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, and all models can be equipped with more powerful engine options. These include the 7.3-liter V-8 powered by the key gas 430 horsepower and 475-pound-feet, as well as the mighty 6.7-liter V-8 Power Stroke diesel engine that reads 475 horsepower and a whopping torque of 1,050 pounds.

Super Duty also offers an off-road package – called the Shake – that adds a thinner level and a tire kit along with other ready-made upgrades for the road. This heavy Ford performs as expected from a large rig built to pull up to 19 tons.

When unloading, the ride is stiff and rocky, but this feeling subsides when the bed is full or the trailer is attached. The most endearing finish does a better job of absorbing wind and road noise on the road, but all models – even those with optional adaptive steering that Ford says is “more connected and engaging” – have a sense of weight on the road aggravated by helmet feedback.

Who was disconnected? However, the trucks we drive enjoy solid and responsive brake pedals, and the steering can be managed at low speeds and in narrow spaces where it can maneuver the longest models.

2023 F350 Release Date will be available this summer.

2023 Ford F350 Price

Ford has not yet announced pricing for the 2023 Ford F350 array, which the company says will be sold this summer. We do not expect this update to significantly increase the price of the truck, and we still recommend the F-250 version with a crew cabin, a 6.75-meter trunk, and a single rear axle.

The Trim Lariat comes standard with a new 12.0-inch Sync 4 touchscreen, as well as luxuries like leather upholstery, dual regional climate control, Bang & Olufsen stereo 10 speakers, and an 8.0-inch display on the meter.
